Ms. Shah specializes in the representation of foreign companies expanding their operations and investors or entrepreneurs investing or creating new U.S. start-ups through various business and investor visas (i.e., B-1, E-1, E-2, H1-B, O-1, L-1 and EB-5). She has also represented individuals in deportation/removal proceedings before DHS’s Executive Office for Immigration Review. She is especially proud of her commitment to helping asylees, refugees, victims of torture, battered women, and international child adoptees in gaining a fresh start in the U.S. Her realm of knowledge includes handling immigrant and non-immigrant waiver proceedings for individuals seeking to enter or presently in U.S. unlawfully through temporary or permanent status after alleged immigration law violations.

Ms. Shah is a graduate of Brooklyn Law School and The University of Texas at Austin where she majored in government and journalism. She worked as a journalist for a number of years at prominent national news organizations in New York before enrolling in law school.
