We practice in the areas of Guardianships, Special Needs Trusts, Estate Planning and Special Education Law. We serve the special needs community, working with families of and individuals with special needs from cradle to death.

As an Associate, Patricia brings expertise in handling all types of Special
Education matters. In her position she expertly drafts Due Process Complaints,
represents clients at Committee on Special Education meetings, conducts
client meetings, establishes Guardianships, and assists clients in establishing
and administering Supplemental Needs Trusts. She also works with clients to
create Estate Plans, particularly in regard to family members with disabilities.

Patricia’s interest in Special Education Law stemmed from growing up with a sibling who had
experienced learning disabilities. This experience enabled her to see firsthand how successful a student
with disabilities could be if provided with the appropriate educational support. Patricia has devoted her
career to advocating for students with disabilities and working on their behalf.

Patricia earned her B.A. in History at Hofstra University. She was on the Dean’s List for all four years,
and was a member of PHI ALPHA THETA – History Honor Society. She also served as Vice President
Co-Founder of the Hofstra University History Club. She went on to earn her J.D. from Touro College
Jacob D. Fuchsburg Law Center. She was awarded the CALI Award for Best Oral Advocate in
Legal Writing, and also worked on TLC – HEART Student Disaster Relief Network.
Professional Affiliations: Member of the New York State Bar Association, the Nassau County Bar
Association Education Law Committee, and the Counsel of Parent and Attorney Advocates (COPAA).
